Majestically crowning Surin Hill on Phuket’s beautiful west coast, this 6-bedroom ultra-chic private villa offers the perfect balance of extravagance, comfort, style and friendliness. Dainty white gerbera flowers carefully laid along the walkways, introduce guests to the villa’s grand entrance hall with its glass floor and soaring roof. Huge floor-to-ceiling windows across the villa’s frontage deliver spectacular ocean views and the 22 x 5m infinity swimming pool draws eyes to the horizon, where the Andaman Sea wraps around Surin and Bang Tao Bays and the sunsets are simply breathtaking.
The spacious main floor comprises a lounge and dining room that both open widely to a large, split-level sun terrace where plentiful loungers, neatly arranged seating and a shaded pool sala invite guests to soak up the sun and relax. Deep comfy sofas, upholstered in soft white, paint a tranquil atmosphere in the living room, enhanced by aged timber sculptures and infinitely stylish solid wood furniture. All bedrooms at Chan Grajang face the ocean and most have furnished terraces. Ensuite bathrooms are notably extravagant in their size and style. The grand master suite takes pride of place on the villa’s uppermost level, while a pair of guest bedrooms lie one above the other in a pavilion to the side of the main villa. A fourth bedroom is tucked below the pool alongside the gym and media room, all facing the villa’s immaculate three-hole putting green. To the rear, the den-like games room is decorated with old movie posters, stocked with classic board games and equipped with a snooker table and bar.
Smaller groups wishing to experience the exclusivity of Villa Chan Grajang may opt to hire only the four-bedroomed main villa, but for larger groups the addition of the two-bedroomed guest villa, which includes a kitchenette, living room and private plunge pool, allows for groups of up to 12 guests.
The six bedrooms at Villa Chan Grajang are designed with minimalistic, modern luxury and total guest comfort in mind. All have air conditioning, solar window shades, ensuite bathroom, large closet space, safe, speakers with Bluetooth connection. The Master Suite and 2 other guest rooms have their own flat screen television unit with digital cable, and a CD and DVD player each. While the villa layout encourages guests to spend time together in its communal spaces, the bedrooms are welcome reprieve at the end of a day in paradise.
Master Suite
The master suite rests at the highest point of the villa and has a private furnished terrace. Encased on three sides by floor-to-ceiling windows, the room boasts panoramic views of Surin and Bang Tao Bays, a superking-sized bed, ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi, as well as a double vanity and a shower.
Guest Bedroom Two
This bedroom lies a few steps down from the poolside terrace and is surrounded on three sides by floor-to-ceiling windows. The king-sized bed and soaking tub ensure indulgent comfort and a restful night. Its ensuite bathroom has a double vanity, two closets, and a shower.
Guest Bedroom Three
Sitting just below Guest Bedroom Two on the lower level of the villa and with similar amenities, this versatile twin bedroom can be set up with a king-sized bed configuration. With access to the wrap-around grassed terrace just steps beyond the door, the room appeals to couples who enjoy a little respite from the energies of the main living spaces and relaxing to their own pace amidst the greenery.
Guest Bedroom Four
Positioned to the front of the grassed terrace on the lower level of the villa, and overlooking the putting green and ocean, this twin-bedded room easily converts to a king-sized bed configuration. The ensuite bathroom has a double vanity and shower. The room has access to the adjacent movie room, where sofa doubles up as an extra bed for a child, making it an excellent choice for families.
Guest Villa Bedroom Five
Having king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom with a shower stall, plus a cosy sitting area facing the bays, this bedroom is on the lower level of the guest villa and is the smallest of Chan Grajang’s bedrooms. Those staying in the guest villa enjoy a separate gated entrance with two-car parking area.
Guest Villa Bedroom Six
Located on the upper level of the guest villa, which is connected to the main villa via stepping stones across the garden, this apartment-style space comes with a living room and private 7 x 3m plunge pool. Ideal for guests desiring a little privacy, the bedroom has a super king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom with a double vanity, soaking tub, and shower. A kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator complete the scene.
Indoor Living
With its white décor and soft furnishings, solid wood floors, precious stone and wood decorative pieces, and brightly sunlit living space, this contemporary luxury villa is not only stately but also extremely inviting. The spacious living and dining rooms are perfect for lounging and relaxing. The games room, cinema room with surround sound system and gym on the villa’s lower level, while easily accessible, are ideally tucked away to encourage fun, entertainment and fitness without disturbing the serenity of the villa.
Villa Chan Grajang has an endless array of outdoor spaces and activities for guests to enjoy in this tropical paradise. A large, split-level poolside terrace and 22 x 5m infinity swimming pool impressively span the entire length of the villa, and are complemented by plenty of chairs, sun loungers and a sala for shaded repose. The lawn on the lower level is a great place for children to release their energies while adults relax and soak up the sun.
